Former Gate Keeper's Lodge of Alton Towers Estate, our historic inn has been welcoming guests for 400 years. Original features blend seamlessly with modern comforts, creating a unique atmosphere that tells the story of generations past.

Perfectly situated just 2.5 miles from Alton Towers on the B5032, nestled in the beautiful Staffordshire Moorlands. Our elevated position offers stunning views across the countryside, making us an ideal base for both theme park visits and peaceful rural getaways.

The Piggery Restaurant

Our intimate 40-seat restaurant offers a carefully curated menu of locally-sourced dishes, each freshly prepared to order. We pride ourselves on accommodating special dietary requirements, ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable dining experience.

Dinner: 7pm - 9:30pm

Take your time and savor the moment - our freshly prepared meals are worth the wait. Relax in our welcoming atmosphere while our chefs craft your perfect dining experience.

Breakfast: 8am - 9am

Start your day with a traditional full English breakfast, complemented by a selection of cereals, fruit juices, toast with preserves, and your choice of tea or coffee.

1. Exit M6 at Junction 15
2. Take A500 towards Stoke
3. Join A50 towards Uttoxeter
4. Pass through Meir Tunnel
5. Take next exit (Tesco will be on your right)
6. At roundabout, take second left towards Blyth Bridge
7. Cross railway and follow signs for Cheadle
8. Continue through Cheadle High Street
9. At end of High Street, turn right at roundabout
10. Go straight over next two roundabouts
11. Turn left at Lamplighter Pub onto B5032 towards Alton
12. Peakstones Inn will be on your left

From the South (via M6)

1. Exit M6 at Junction 14
2. Follow signs to Uttoxeter
3. Follow Alton Towers brown tourist signs
4. In Alton village, at the Blacksmiths Arms
5. Turn left onto B5032
6. Peakstones Inn will be on your right
